Workshop on Sound and Vibrational Healing with Tibetan Singing Bowls

Description
Learn the basics of playing Tibetan singing bowls and the tingsha, from how to use a striker (or mallet) to using the bowls for self-healing of the head, stomach and feet. Explore how to position one or two singing bowls near the body's chakras for more specific healing. Master Shrestha will explain how to choose a singing bowl for personal practice (and for those who wish purchase a bowl you may do so at the end of the workshop, although this is entirely optional). The workshop will culminate with a 1/2 hour yoga class with Suren accompanied by the singing bowls. Receive and Rejuvenate!

Workshop Schedule
1:00 pm - 3:30 pm - Part 1 (2-1/2 h) fundamentals, self-healing of the feet, head and stomach
3:30 - 3:45 pm - BREAK 15 minutes
3:45 - 5:15 pm - Part 2 (1-1/2 h) healing others with only 1 or 2 bowls and a massage table or mat. Practice on each other.
5:15 - 5:45 pm - Part 3 (1/2 h) 5 yoga breathing techniques accompanied by the bowls
6:00 pm - END OF WORKSHOP
Suren will bring bowls made in Nepal, some are ancient. These bowls and Suren's book How to Heal with Singing Bowls and his CD Himalayan Chakra Healing, will be available for purchase.

Master Teacher Suren Shrestha was born in Nepal about forty-five miles southeast of Mount Everest. In the village where he grew up, people were healed by herbalists, monks and medicine men using shaman's drums, gongs and mantras. There he learned to practice ancient healing techniques using sound and vibration. Suren gives workshops and assists clients with healing bowl work all over the United States. He is raising funds through his teaching to build the Aama Orphanage School for children in his native village, and is donating all proceeds from the sale of his book How to Heal with Singing Bowls to the project. He lives in Boulder, CO with his wife and daughter.
